Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: I have my own toner at home, can I mix it with lotus oil? Will the oil clog my pores?
A: White Lotus Intensive Oil is used to treat dry/dehydrated/sensitive skin. It is good for healing and repair. You can mix a few drops of oil to your toner, if your skin is not breakout prone.
If you are very prone to clogging and breakouts, it may be better for you to use serum instead, especially when in humid weather like Singapore.
Patients find the oil useful when they travel to cold countries. You can swap your serum to oil then, and it will hydrate and repair your skin without causing any breakouts.
Q: What’s the difference between Nutrient Serum and White Lotus Oil? Do I need to use both?
- Nutrient Serum has a lightweight liquid gel texture that contains high concentration of actives to provide hydration, nourishment and anti-aging benefits. Serums are water-based, oil-free, and can be used twice daily all over the face and neck. They are excellent for getting more hydration into the skin, especially for mature skin (who need more hydration), and oily skin who can use a serum in place of a moisturizer. We recommended that anyone over age 30 starts using a serum to prevent lines and wrinkles.
- White Lotus Oil is also used for hydration and to seal in moisture. It has the added function of repairing and protecting the skin. It is an excellent choice for dry, dehydrated skin types with lines and wrinkles. Oils are best mixed into toner/essence for it to work well. It works best when applied in layers.
- If your skin is very dry with sensitivity, irritation and fine lines, we recommend you to use both: Nutrient serum in the morning, White Lotus Oil in the evening.
