Gluten-Free, Sugar-Free Chocolate Cake - A Delicious & Guilt-Free Treat for Father's Day!

We highly recommend this delicious, gluten-free and sugar-free recipe that tastes like a dark chocolate, fudge brownie cake.
Rich in cocoa powder, skin-loving healthy fats, and naturally sweetened with dates, this waistline- & skin-friendly recipe with no added sugar or wheat, is one of our favorite treats!
For nut lovers, add hazelnuts for that extra crunch.

- 1 ½ cups almond flour
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 ½ cups dates, deseeded
- ½ cup hot water for soaking the dates
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbs extra virgin coconut oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Soak the dates in the hot water, giving them time to soften.
Preheat the oven to 170 deg C.
Cut the baking paper to line the bottom of the cake tin.
Make the date paste, best with a food processor.
Next, add the eggs, oil and vanilla extract and process until just smooth.
Finally, add the cake mix ingredients and process until just mixed.
Optional: For a nutty cake, throw in ½ cup of walnuts or hazelnuts and give a few more pulses on the food processor.
Transfer the batter to the cake tin and bake for 25 - 30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
